Nigeria's Essential
Food Ingredients
NASCON Allied Industries Plc (formerly National Salt Company of Nigeria) was established in 1973 and acquired by Dangote Industries in the early 2000s. Today, it is listed on the NGX and controls approximately 60% of Nigeria's refined salt market through its Apapa and Calabar plants.
Beyond salt, NASCON has diversified into seasoning products under the "Dangote Seasoning" brand (cubes and powder) and tomato paste production, making it a multi-category consumer food ingredients business targeting Nigeria's 200+ million population.
The company operates two production facilities: the flagship Apapa plant in Lagos with 500,000 T/yr salt refining capacity, and the Calabar plant in Cross River State. Distribution reaches all 36 Nigerian states plus export markets in Benin, Ghana, Cameroon and Niger.
